Experience NYC from the 86th-floor Observation Deck and enhance your visit with the official Empire State Building app. Marvel at the Art Deco style of this American landmark, designated a National Historic Landmark in 1986, offering unobstructed 360° views.
Enjoy two attractions for the price of one as you explore the revamped 80th floor, featuring exciting artistic exhibits. All signage, multimedia apps, and exhibitions are available in nine languages.
Looking up at New York's skyscrapers is quite an experience, but it pales in comparison to looking down on the city from atop its most famous skyscraper, located in the heart of Manhattan. With ongoing exhibitions on the second and 80th floors, and two observation decks, the Empire State Building offers the best views of the Empire State.
Completed in 1931, this Art Deco icon still retains its charm. The friendly, burgundy-uniformed staff at the front door will welcome you into this city classic. Be inspired by the stunning murals adorning the walls and ceiling as you make your way through the building.
The most iconic spot on this skyscraper is the 86th floor, where many movies, such as 'Independence Day' and 'Sleepless in Seattle', have filmed memorable scenes.
The view from the top is breathtaking, offering panoramic views of up to six states from the surrounding open-air promenade and climate-controlled viewing galleries. Take your time to capture aerial shots of Central Park, Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the One World Trade Center – and don't forget to snap a photo of yourself beating your chest like King Kong!
Empire State Extras
Enhance your visit with the Official Empire State Building Guide app, available for free download from the App Store and Google Play. This app provides a digitally guided tour from the ground floor to the top.
Feeling hungry? The Empire State Building boasts seven eateries. Enjoy a pre-fixed dinner package at the State Grill and Bar, which also serves local craft beers and cocktails. Nearby, you'll also find Starbucks Reserve® and Chipotle.
For the best experience, we recommend visiting two hours after the Empire State Building Observatory's opening time. This allows you to avoid the busiest times and fully enjoy the stunning views and exhibits.

Not a huge fan of all the exhibits on the way to the top of the building. I was only interested in the views.
